At Narosa we believe that Yoga is one of the best things you can do to develop and maintain a healthy body and mind. Samantha Harkin is our yoga instructor and she brings fantastic ability and enthusiasm to the classes which are already well known in Donegal.

Our much anticipated 'Beach Yoga' classes are starting again and running weekends throughout the summer but in the meantime, check out the Monday and Saturday classes at the Ozanam centre from 7th May 2011 in the left panel.

Astanga and Surfing - 'A perfect Match'

This energising and dynamic yoga practice builds core muscle strength, increases flexibility and improves balance.

The focus in Yoga is on the connection between movement and breath, Ashtanga, much like surfing, becomes a moving meditation. Yoga is the perfect preparation of the body, mind and spirit for a day on the waves.

Classes are structured around the needs of the beginner practitioner, cultivating an encouraging and enjoyable atmosphere in which to explore, challenge, discover and find balance. Due to the nature of Yoga the basic postures and movements cannot be practiced enough, so more advanced practitioners benefit from a renewed sense of awareness of the fundamentals, making classes suitable for all levels of ability.
