Dunfanaghy Walking weekend Oct 1st-3rd
Join us for the first ever Dunfanaghy walking festival, headed up by Narosa, Arnolds hotel and Molly's Bar Dunfanaghy!The event looks to be amazing with 2 levels of guided walk from tramore beach to horn head and up muckish! A great event for seasoned walkers to families and solo travellers. There will be evening entertainment in the restaurants and bars and we're even having a Ceilidh!

Tramore Beach
Discover one of the areas hidden gems. Tucked away from the world by an extensive sand dune system this beach can only be reached by foot. More often than not, your footprints will be the only ones in the golden sands. You're quickly whisked away from the present to a timeless place. The acoustics provided by the pounding Atlantic surf are enhanced by the dramatic cliffs at either end, you really get a sense of the raw power from the elements in this area. The sweeping curve line enclosed dual cliff gives an impressive framing view of the spectacular Tory island a few miles offshore.

Muckish Summit
The summit of all achievement. This overpowering peak has inspired generations of poets and writers. The word Muckish is irish for 'pigs back' the shape also an inspiration for local architecture at the Creeslough parish. This climb forces the landscape to give up its hidden secrets with every step closer to the summit allowing spectacular panoramic views of this truly inspirational part of Ireland. Upon the summit the Derryveagh mountains to the south, round to the forests of Ards and intricate coastline to the north, reveal themselves in true glory.

Horn Head
Jutting out into the Atlantic, horn head offers an unrivalled platform to view this impressively varied coastline. A dramatic cliff line circumference to the horn makes a breathtaking boundary between land and sea. As you approach the head you begin to feel a true sense of the scale of the area. At the head itself it really does feel like being at the head of the world.
